Pastor Sue and other Knox folks along with Presbyterians across the country have made a commitment to a monthly church-wide fast as a way to learn about the Global Food Crisis and be in solidarity with those who hunger all around the world. Typically this would be the first weekend of the month but you could do it any weekend. Typically it would start on Friday after evening meal and continue through Sunday morning ending with Communion. If you are unable to fast for medical, health, or age reasons, or are not able to commit to the first weekend, you are encouraged to adapt the fast to your own circumstances.
