Knox Presbyterian Church in Santa Rosa Welcomes You

About Knox
Knox Presbyterian Church is a small church of 75 members with another 40 folks who call Knox home, ranging in age from four to ninety-four. With an average attendance of 70, the worship of God is the joyous centerpiece of this faith community's life together. It is a congregation that delights in making a joyful noise to the Lord with the help of a talented core of musicians.

The people of Knox are committed to making their faith in Christ visible. We see ourselves as a neighborhood church, a church that cares about it's surrounding community and its needs. For example, the summer of 2005 found the church serving as a Summer Lunch Program Site, feeding a nutritious lunch three days a week for twelve weeks to children of low-income families. This opened the congregation's eyes to the need for a weekly food pantry and in December of 2005 the Knox Food Pantry, in partnership with the local food bank, opened its doors and now serves on average, 40 households a week. This ministry is in keeping with four decades of serving the community with special emphasis on helping alleviate hunger, sheltering the homeless, advocating for affordable housing, and more.

Pumpkin PartyA core value of our community of faith is one of welcome. We are committed to creating an environment where all people regardless of any human condition are welcomed, affirmed, and encouraged to join us in worship, service, and fellowship. This welcome has been extended to the neighborhood. A Saturday in October finds the church hosting a neighborhood party with a barbecue, games, hay ride, pumpkin carving, and crafts. The party has been well-received and further strengthens the church's place in the community as a safe and caring place.

There is much more that could be noted and celebrated about this wonderful small church. In closing, the people of Knox Presbyterian Church exhibit an authentic caring of one another. Through prayer and acts of kindness we are on hand to provide support to our church family in times of need. Many have been strengthened and sustained by this circle of love and prayer, giving witness to God's all-embracing presence.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU!
